Character Animator

A BIT ABOUT ME

I’m a Lead 3D Character Animator with over fifteen years of experience creating performances that feel real and alive. What draws me to this work is the ability to tell stories through movement — the subtle shift in weight, a glance, the timing of a breath. Whether it’s for film, games, or virtual reality, I’ve always been most interested in animation that connects with people on a human level.

Over the years I’ve had the chance to work across a pretty wide range of projects. I started with cinematic character work at Sony Imageworks, spent time at Electronic Arts animating gameplay characters and at Strange Reptile, and later helped bring high-fidelity VR training experiences to life at Street Smarts VR. These different worlds have taught me a lot about how animation changes depending on the medium and the audience.

I really enjoy the collaborative side of this job — sitting down with directors, designers, and engineers to figure out what a character needs to communicate in a given moment. There’s something satisfying about iterating on a shot or a cycle until it finally feels right.

At the end of the day, I’m still driven by the same things that got me into animation in the first place: storytelling and the constant process of learning. I enjoy building tools in Maya when they help the team move faster, but for me, the real joy has always been in the animation itself.
